Graphic Design Rules for Packaging Products

Graphic design, also known as communication design, is the art and practice of planning and projecting ideas and experiences with visual and textual content. The form of the communication can be physical or virtual, and may include images, words, or graphic forms.

For packaging product design, you should not only focus on the print design, you must also take the shape of the packaging products into consideration. The following are some rules graphic designers should know while designing packaging products.

Visible sides design
As we know, a regular packaging box has six sides. Usually, graphic designers have to design the five visible sides. The importance of each visual side is different. You should pay special attention to the design of the main visual side. You'd better combine text and close-up image while designing the main visible side.

Overall design
All visible sides of the packaging box should look harmonious together. You should know that packaging products are three-dimensional. Consider the visual attraction of each visible side, also take the concordance of overall look into consideration.

Here is an example
In order to show the natural look of the kraft packaging materials, our designer only used text words on all the visible sides.

Things You Should Know About Foil Stamping

If you want your printing pieces looks luxury and refined and stand out from the crowd with distinctive and eye-catching appeal, look no  further than foil stamping. Add a touch of class to your marketing materials with elegant and affordable foil stamping!

What is foil stamping?
Foil stamping is a great way to add a custom touch to your printed product by applying a thin film of metal to paper that creates elegant, eye-catching results. Foil stamping, or foil printing is frequently combined with embossing to produce a three dimensional image. There are many types of foil that can make your printed piece pop.

Which kind of material is great for foil printing?
Foil can be applied to most paper stocks, even magnetic paper. However, the ideal paper stock for metallic foil or other foil stamps is gloss cover or other stocks with a smooth surface. Linen or other textured papers can be a challenge for foil due to their uneven surfaces, as the foil may not look as crisp.

How is works?
At its simplest form, Foil Stamping comes down to three things:  Heat, Pressure, and Time. The foil film is positioned between the heated metal die and the material receiving the foil. The die presses the foil onto the material and the heat activates the adhesive. Under pressure, the foil fuses onto surface of the item and is released from the mylar carrier everywhere the raise image has pressed.

Tips for foil stamping
1. Artwork suitable for letterpress printing generally prints well in foil stamping.
2. Folded pieces can have foil stamping, but the foil coverage can’t go over the score.
3. In order for the foil to fuse to the stock properly, there needs to be enough surface area to grab onto.

Guide To Commonly Used Plastic Display Hangers for Shoes

Every inch of space in a retail store counts when displaying merchandise. How to display shoe products effectively is a big challenge for many shoe stores. Shoe racks can display shoes attractively, but shoe racks take too much space. Plastic shoe hangers are preferred by many retailers since they are reusable and save space. What's more, you don’t worry to mix the different sizes, colors and styles.

Shoe hangers come in various styles and shapes. Here is a brief introduction of commonly used plastic shoe hangers.

Boot Clips
Sinicline boot clips offer a complete solution to any boot shop or shoe store display requirements. The clips are ideal for walking boots and wide top styles such
as slipper boots and fur top boots. They are also suitable for displaying padded gloves.

Flip Flop Hanger
Expertly designed sandals and slippers, flip flop hangers are easy to add and remove from flip-flop. Dual purpose design firmly holds the flip flop or sandal
by their toe posts or across the top straps.

Heel Hanger
The small plastic clips on each side are ideal to grap thin heels or low heel height. Usually, we would add soft rubber on the clips to provide maximum grip. Unique shape allows hanger to be added or removed easily from loops.

Toes up hanger
This kind of hanger can hang a wide range of styles and sizes of footwear, from children’s and men’s shoes or trainers to women’s fashion footwear. Anti-snag wings prevent straps getting trapped.

Wing Hangers
Non-snag wing design makes the hanger easy to add and remove from the shoes and avoid catching on delicate straps. So, they are ideal for hanging gladiator style sandals and ballerina shoes.
